This place is a true hidden gem and was one of our favorite stays in Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping into a jungle village—absolutely gorgeous. The covered walkways were amazing, especially since it rained most of our stay. We were still able to walk around, explore, and enjoy the property comfortably. We saw so much wildlife during our time here, including many beautiful birds and even a monkey. The location is also very close to the Tirimbina Reserve, which I highly recommend visiting. Breakfast was delicious, and there was always coffee available, which we really appreciated. The staff truly stood out as well—our flight arrived very late, and we got there close to midnight, and they were awake, welcoming, and ready for us. Overall, an amazing experience and a place we would gladly return to.

The room and the entire complex are nice. No room service, the toilet paper bin isn't emptied 🤮. Short beds. No blackout curtains, the light in the hallway outside the room is on all night, making the room as bright as day. You can hear loud trucks driving by all night. At 5:30 a.m., a machine roars. Very poorly constructed; you can hear your neighbor snoring and coughing. This dump is not recommended.

I loved staying here! The wildlife was outside our rooms, the food was amazing, and I loved the eclectic decor. The people who work at La Quinta are so friendly also! Thoroughly enjoyed my experience here, and love their commitment to the environment and giving back to the community. Would stay here again, and would suggest booking rooms here if you are deciding to choose a fun, comfortable hotel with great food and knowledgeable, friendly staff.
