Terrible experience. Despite the excellent location, we had to contend with poor cleanliness, a tiny bathroom with no window, a broken ventilation system that forced us to use it with the door open, and visible mold on the walls and in the corners of the shower. When we reported the inconvenience, they initially offered us breakfast but then canceled it upon checkout. In fact, they then demanded payment, and what's worse, not from us but from our friends who left three hours after us, claiming that we had left without paying 21 euros and saying that they couldn't leave the hotel without paying this alleged debt. It was no use reminding us on the phone during the trip that the breakfast had been offered because of the broken bathroom, and that nothing had been requested upon our checkout. Absurd!! They caused us a terrible embarrassment with our friends. Furthermore, the hotel lacks a lobby and entering the tiny elevator is awkward; only one person and one bag can fit at a time, making carrying the bags to the second floor a real challenge! The carpeting is old and not very clean everywhere. The room didn't have carpet, but the floor was dusty. They also messed up the room allocation between us and our friends, and after we left, they claimed it was our fault, claiming we had requested a change. It's a real shame about this lack of professionalism and cleanliness, because the location is excellent in the center. But after this experience, I wouldn't go back, even for free, especially considering that I emailed management to request an explanation and proof of the extra charge, and they didn't even respond! I've seen far better alternatives around here. And certainly more honest and fair than what we experienced at this hotel.
