Lamplighter Inn & Suites - South

I stayed at the Lamplighter Inn during an emergency housing situation, and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. The first room I was assigned was locked and inaccessible. I was then moved to a second room, which was extremely dirty and unsanitary. After raising concerns, I was placed in a third room that initially appeared cleaner, but bedbugs were discovered around 2:00 AM. When I reported the issue, the front desk was dismissive and stated that because the reservation was made through a third-party booking site, it was not their responsibility. I was not offered a room transfer, remediation, or assistance despite the situation involving health and safety concerns. I was told to contact the third-party company for a refund, which the hotel later approved as a reasonable request. However, no effort was made by the hotel to help resolve the situation or assist with alternate accommodations. This experience involved multiple room issues, poor cleanliness standards, and a complete lack of accountability when serious problems were reported. I would strongly encourage others to consider how issues are handled here when things go wrong.
