Lovely hotel. Would stay again. Saw northern lights both nights of our stay. There’s a wake up alarm and the TV also shows the northern light cams. Really good breakfast - scrambled eggs, bacon, yogurts, crepes etc. The restaurant food is also delicious but slightly pricey, standard for Iceland and the remote location I’d say. Highly recommend the burger, fish bites and chocolate lava cake dessert. Big thank you to Thomas our excellent server both evenings. I would say the additional charge for the sauna and hot tub isn’t worth it and to skip it. Was quite surprised at the additional charge for those services given the price of the hotel / normally those are included. The saunas are very small 1-3 people and hot tub nothing too special/very icy and cold when getting into.

The hotel's location is superb, especially if you want to see the Northern Lights. The hotel offers a complimentary wake-up service for this purpose. There's a lovely sauna and a whirlpool available for a small additional fee. The dinner and the friendliness of the staff are particularly noteworthy.
