Wow, what great accommodation, spacious and clean very well equipped, lovely to be greeted with tea, coffee,milk and sugar , also some lovely scones with jam and clotted cream,these little touches make all the difference. Location was very peaceful and Ideal for access to the town,parking and WiFi all good, we would love to stay here again.

Stayed in Brookhouse, small but adequate,shower ok,bowl very small ,kitchen ok,close to main road so quite noisy. Thatched inn 2mins away, harbour about 5mins - great location,plenty of places to eat.nice views.

Laston House is a beautiful and incredibly well-run Bed and Breakfast, offering a wealth of amenities. We attended a wedding and arrived very late at night due to bad weather on the way. However, we were able to get into the house and our room as arranged in advance (thanks, Abi, for being so understanding), and we felt so comfortable and warm in our gorgeous, huge room. It was so tastefully decorated, with elegant furniture that added luxury and uniqueness to the room - beautiful. The room was extremely well designed, using the beauty and dimensions of this period house to guests' advantage, so lots of beautiful period features. Our bed was HUGE and incredibly comfortable, lovely light flooding into the room through the original sash windows, and when we wanted darkness, the excellent heavy curtains blocked out all of the light. Beautiful bedding - you will not want to get out of bed. All this, plus a modern bathroom, with lovely towels, an excellent shower, perfect temperature water and lovely locally made soap. And when we went to have our breakfast, we got a very warm welcome, and enjoyed the excellent vegetarian options and loved that there was something for everyone. The gardens were stunning too, and we picked up a few brochures about places to visit, which was a thoughtful addition, as we hadn't been to this part of the world before. We stayed 3 nights and didn't want to leave! The house itself is so beautiful, and I can imagine that the cottages and the house, when hired as a self-catering whole house, is a real treat. Abi and Greg are superb hosts, warm, professional and completely caring for their guests' needs. I highly recommend Laston House for your visit to this beautiful part of Devon, whether it's with a partner, family or kids you will not be disappointed at all.
