This review is for the rooms. I stayed here for four nights, but wish I had read some of the reviews first. The walls are paper thin, even after the renovation, I felt I was staying in a cardboard box/tin can. You can hear your neighbors conversation through the wall and while I love dogs, I would prefer not to hear yours while on vacation in the morning while I am trying to rest at 7 am. Although this is a great way to start the day early while you are having a relaxing stay in Carmel. They charge a pet fee, but what do the guests receive who have to listen to the barking? The location was perfect, but the rooms are quite small for the price and they do not receive any natural light, you have to keep the shutters closed if you would like any privacy at all. Complimentary water bottles were offered on the first day, but were never replenished even though the room was serviced. The Diptyque toiletries were nice a nice touch, but that was not enough to distract me from the reality of the situation and quality of the hotel. It's an old motel with a nice paint job in some Farrow & Ball Colors. The room was incredibly cold at night, even after requesting a heater. I was told my an employee that it was because of how cold it was and because of how many people were staying at the hotel. All in all, it was pretty to the eyes, but that was about it. For reference purposes, the total cost was $400 a night including amenity fee. I would book elsewhere.

The hotel is so charming, quiet, and cute. I loved the overall vibe. Check in was smooth, and the customer service was great from start to finish. There’s a continental breakfast, and the employee working that area was very courteous and helpful. The rooms and the hotel overall were very clean, and the decor was really cute. It was a lovely, comfortable stay.
