Lennox Hotel Miami Beach

⭐ 1/5 Very disappointing experience overall. The hotel looks attractive in photos and the pool area is pleasant. The only consistently positive part of our stay was the swimming pool staff, who were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the front desk experience completely overshadowed everything else. We were traveling with a 1 year old baby and had a late flight. We asked whether it would be possible to extend checkout so our baby could nap comfortably in the crib after lunch before heading to the airport. Instead of trying to help or find a reasonable solution, the response was extremely rigid. Initially no late check-out option was offered at all. I insisted and tried to find a solution by asking how much it would cost to keep the room for a few hours, even asking whether there could be a reduced rate since we would only need the crib for approximately 2–3 hours. The hotel eventually offered a $200 charge to stay until 2 PM, but if the baby happened to sleep past that time we were told the system would automatically apply the full nightly rate of $397.54. As any parent knows, it is impossible to predict exactly when a baby will wake from a nap. The policy essentially forces guests to gamble hundreds of dollars over a very small timing difference (for example 2 PM vs 3 PM). What was most surprising was not just the policy itself, but the lack of empathy and organization from the front desk team. The communication felt cold, mechanical and unhelpful, which is disappointing for a property that presents itself as a boutique hospitality experience. Another issue worth mentioning is pricing transparency. The hotel adds a $45 per day “amenities fee”, on top of taxes and other charges, which significantly increases the final cost of the stay compared with the price initially shown when booking. The restaurant was another disappointment: extremely expensive for the quality offered. The food was mediocre at best, and even something as basic as a coffee in the cafeteria costs around $7, which feels excessive considering the overall value provided. The restaurant staff themselves were friendly though. Boutique hotels usually differentiate themselves through attentive service and thoughtful hospitality. Here it felt more like rules first, guests second. It’s a shame because the property itself has potential, but service ultimately defines the experience. At this price point in Miami Beach there are several boutique hotels nearby (such as The Betsy South Beach or Hotel Greystone) that appear to offer a much more guest-focused approach. We will not be staying at this hotel again. At $800 USD for the first night, the level of service was extremely disappointing. Do not recommend.

Amazing hotel great location right across the street from the beach. The staff where unbelievable helpful and the rooms where clean and well decorated. The only downside was the pool area was a bit small but I spent all my free time at the beach we they have lounge chairs available at no cost! I would highly recommend!

Rented a room for the Food Network event. Paid $800ish per night for a tiny room that we could even get stocked with wash clothes for the three people booked into the room. I should add that the prices were gouged due to the event, however normal price is around $300 I think and I wouldn’t even pay that. Paid extra for a poolside room with “chairs right outside the door”. They were but they weren’t reserved for the room guests, they were free game. Bar and restaurant hours sucked. It’s a cool looking hotel and pool area but the room layout is atrocious for anyone besides couples. The pool area while gorgeous was very small. The poolside bartender was great. The remainder of staff was friendly but not overly helpful. This place is well overpriced even when you take into account the prime location. For the amount of money we dropped I expected something else entirely. Was very disappointed over all and although we will return for the festival we will not stay here again.
