I had high expectations because it was a Marriott Luxury Collection property, but I think it's better to not have high expectations. Room prices are relatively affordable compared to other Luxury Collection properties. I think it's better to book a room with lounge access. I don't recommend staying in just a standard room. I stayed in a Secret Room, but it was a bit dark, not my style. I also stayed in an Atelier Junior Suite, but you need a room of that size to get a good view. The lounge happy hour and breakfast, while limited in variety, are good quality. Room service prices are reasonable, so it's a good option. The seafood ramen was delicious.

As a Marriott Bonvoy member, this was the worst Luxury Collection experience I've ever had. It felt like I spent a lot of money and precious time staying in a run-down luxury motel. The customer service was far below Bonvoy standards, and the bathroom floor was dusty and dirty. This is a serious disservice to the Luxury Collection brand.

I stayed here on a weekend trip in February 2026. The lobby and rooms, true to their name, exude a luxurious feel. It seems like a good choice for couples or anniversaries. A welcome drink of about three cans of juice or canned beer is provided. It appears to be newly opened, but perhaps due to its old-European concept, it didn't feel particularly new. The water pressure was weak, and the shower head had a loose fitting, causing the shower head to hang downwards, which was a bit inconvenient. The on-site gym had the latest equipment, but it was the smallest I've ever stayed in at a hotel. lol You can see Seoul Tower from your room, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the nearby park in Baekbeom Square. The view is great, and I saw a few people working out in the morning. They don't offer room service, but they do have some tempting options, including light meals like Korean chicken. It's easily accessible, with Seoul Station and Myeongdong Station both just one stop away. Also, Namdaemun Market is right behind the hotel, and if you go underground you can access the basement food court of Shinsegae Department Store, but the surrounding area is not as crowded as Myeongdong and is quieter, which is nice.
