Lido Sharm Hotel Naama Bay

I wouldn't recommend staying with children; there's a hotel nearby that plays music at full blast until 3 a.m. The rooms are pretty tired. The staff expect a gratuity (if you don't give it, they might ignore you; if you do, they'll pester you), even if they're just refilling your water or giving you towels by the pool (bring a bag of dollar bills). Be prepared for the fact that instead of the sea-view room you were expecting, like the one in the photo (I paid an extra 40 euros when booking for one), they'll give you the current room, overlooking the beach at the neighboring hotel, arguing that no other rooms are available (someone probably paid extra and took my room earlier). The hotel has a unique design, and there are lots of stairs, which is beautiful, but it was difficult for me with arthritis. The food seems plentiful, but it's the same every day. They like to make something fresh out of yesterday's food, as if the guests don't have eyes. Their approach is: it doesn't matter what it is, as long as it looks like there's PLENTY (but that's normal in Egypt). The salads were sometimes sour, the soups very watery. Cats were crawling around the dining room and crows were flying around. Check-out is at 12:00, and by 10:00 they'll start rushing you to vacate your room as quickly as possible. They approached us twice in advance and called our room three times at 12:00 to rush us (we were 20 minutes late; I had a massage at 11:00 and we had a child with us). Our airport transfer wasn't until 5:10 p.m., and the receptionists could have offered a late checkout (the hotel does offer that). We were willing to pay, but no, the conveyor belt doesn't wait... We walked and sat/lay on the sofas in the lobby for five whole hours. There are also positive aspects: the massage by the pool was excellent, I recommend it. The pool is warm, perfect for a child, with a beautiful view of the sea, and the entertainment staff are great. But, in general, I will not come to this hotel again if I go to Sharm, even at the lowest price))).

The hotel is dated and needs updating. The food is limited and not for Italians. The staff is welcoming and always available. Overall, the stay was pleasant if approached with a spirit of adaptability.

The hotel is great, the view from the window is gorgeous, the food is delicious, the room is comfortable, we enjoyed the entertainment and participated in all the shows, the karaoke was fantastic, we sang all evening! Special thanks to Inga!
