Links Bos Landen Hotel & Spa of Pella Trademark

If I could give zero stars I would.. I was to stay for one night 10/23 in Pella due to my daughter performing at State Individual. After a 3 hour drive get to the hotel we go to check in and we try the room keys the front desk guy gave us and noticed a do not disturb sign on the door, and the keys wouldn't work. Walk back to the front desk and they say oh sometimes we have to re-do them and housekeeping forgets the door hangers. So he makes new cards and we try a 2nd time and this time we can hear someone in the room. Walk back to the front desk and tell them I hear someone in the room. He looks at me and says that can't be that is your room. He tells me to hold on he will figure it out. After waiting 5 minutes or so he tells me there must have been a glitch or someone gave away our room. The only thing he could offer me was a King room. I asked is there a pull out couch or a roll away bed, he replied with no. So now my family of 4 has no where to sleep at 9:30pm 3 hours away from home and my daughter performs at 8:00am the next morning. In all my years of booking hotels I have NEVER had this happen. We were lucky her coaches helped us find a room at their hotel, so my daughter could get sleep before performing. That same night I send an email to the General Manager Kim regarding as to what happened and that I demanded her to call me back on Friday with a resolution in the morning. I Didn't hear anything from her so I call the hotel in the afternoon and asked for the general manager and was told she was sick and to call back on Monday. So I call on Monday, as I want someone to respond to me pertaining this mess so it doesn't happen to anyone else! Again Kim is busy on a phone call and I was told she would call me back. Well never received that phone call on Monday 10/27. Called today on Tuesday 10/28 aa This time I can hear the front desk lady's conversation with the GM Kim on just give her points and Kim is still refusing to talk to me and made Lisa do all the talking. I am pissed I was left with no room on a busy weekend when almost all hotels were booked! I am not impressed with how Kim the General Manager handled the situation and didn't even try to contact me or actually talk to me. If you cannot handle confrontation with customers than maybe you are in the wrong profession. Yes was I mad Thursday night you bet! But If Kim would have reached out via email or called me back, we could have handled this situation way better. I am so disappointed in how this was handled.

Clean rooms. Only problem i had was that check out was 11am but 8am cleaning crew came in and out of neighboring rooms. I get they are trying to clean but kept hearing doors slamming and one time they knocked. We felt rushed.

Wow! Called asking about flexible rates and pets. First Lady to answer was very nice!! But then we were transferred to a manager that was NOT so nice. Maybe she was having a bad day, but we will not be staying there.
