Run-down hotel. No soundproofing. Sewer smell. Rust in the bathroom and broken heating.

Overall good impression. They have done a decent renovation to the rooms and communal areas and the breakfast was good. However, they really have to do something about the smell of sewage in the rooms, especially the rooms without balconies. It was difficult to sleep with this smell.

We stayed 9 nights as a couple from February 26th. The location was excellent, just 150 meters from Plaça Catalunya—unbeatable. Secondly, and equally important, was the friendly and attentive service from Jose at reception. Everyone was kind, but Jose went the extra mile, making us feel right at home. The hotel itself is very nice, renovated and modern on the ground floor, with a bar and breakfast area. The breakfast was excellent, a buffet worthy of a 4-star hotel or higher. The rooms are more in line with a 3-star rating—spacious, and the best part is the bathrooms, which are renovated, with modern multifunction showers and an incredible amount of water. I've read complaints about the noise, which is normal, and someone mentioning insects in various parts of the hotel. I don't believe it, especially that they had to sleep in a closet because of it—impossible, a person can't fit in there. I think those reviews are malicious. Points I would improve that would significantly enhance the rooms: the TVs are not LED, much less smart; they're outdated HD models. The cable service is mediocre, with few channels and almost no international options. Generally speaking, I would add heating to the upstairs pool; it's a shame it can only be used in the summer. It's a lovely place to enjoy. I would definitely return... Raul Argentina
