The location is excellent, close to the tourist area and restaurants, but the room isn't suitable for more than one night. There was a strong musty smell, even though the room didn't appear to have any stains; the smell was very overpowering. A group of rooms is located around the corner from the hotel, up some stairs; that wasn't a problem for me, but the dampness was. The other amenities were good: hot water, air conditioning, etc. I would only recommend it for a one-night stay if you're in a pinch, as it's close to everything (except the train station). I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.

Four floors with no elevator—a shame we didn't know this when booking—and no one helped us with our luggage. The stairs are narrow and steep, the room small, and breakfast (you have to take turns because the room is very small) is only Italian, so no savory options. It could be a two-star hotel, but certainly not a three-star!

One star for the location. But that's where the positives end. Our room wasn't in the main building; we had to go down a different alley. It was incredibly noisy, making sleep impossible. The bathroom was tiny. You'd have to be slim to fit in the toilet. I hope there weren't any bedbugs in the bed. You have to sign up for breakfast, and you only get half an hour because there are so few tables. The buffet is a disgrace. No fresh bread, just reheated croissants and tiny rolls. No cold cuts, no cheese. Tough luck if you're diabetic. There's only jam, yogurt, and two different kinds of muesli. During Carnival, the room cost €400 for two people. Normally, it costs €57 per person. That would have been a fair price. But as it was, it was a complete disaster, never again! Anyone who is older and has trouble climbing stairs should book a different hotel. Calling it a hotel is a gross exaggeration; it's more like a dive. The staff were quite nice, and the location was great.
