Luxury Venetian Rooms

The room was very nice, but unfortunately, the heating wasn't on in the morning. The bathroom was a joke. The shower was so small and cramped (only 30 cm wide at the entrance). There was no shelf space. At breakfast, we expected typical Italian white bread, but there was only toast. The location was great, just 5 minutes from St. Mark's Square.

It's an old but beautiful building.

A small "hotel," though it's more of a B&B, with only 10 rooms. The location is excellent, less than 5 minutes from St. Mark's Square and about a 30-minute walk from Piazzale Roma (bus and trains to the airport). The room was a good size, with a vintage/Venetian design and quite clean. The bathroom was small but fine (the shower head could be improved). The women who worked at breakfast and in cleaning were very helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff also checked guests in and were there all day until 5 pm. They stored luggage until then, and then it was left outside under the stairs, but without any security. The building's interior needs renovation. The bed in room 204 was terrible; I don't consider myself picky about beds, but it was very hard, you could feel the springs, and it was uneven. I had trouble sleeping because of the discomfort, and we also returned with back pain. I repeat, I'm not picky about beds... Besides, the room wasn't soundproofed at all, so we could hear everything from upstairs or the hallway (we were right across from the dining room). Luckily, it was quiet at night. Breakfast was very poor and repetitive, with no variety whatsoever (coffee, two types of juice, yogurt, ham and cheese, salami, three kinds of pastries, mushrooms, bacon, and fried eggs).
