I visited from Tokyo and stayed one night at this hotel near the end of the year, hoping to relax alone in a hotel with a river view. Perhaps it was because of the time of year, but I had a wonderful time in this quiet location. The view from the window was even more impressive than it appears in photos. My one-room apartment on the third floor (no bathroom) had a clean toilet and shower on the same floor. It was more convenient than the shared toilets at rustic inns (I also like rustic inns). I took a relaxing bath at Tatsumi-yu, about a 10-minute walk away, in the evening. I used the shower in the morning. I had breakfast at the restaurant on the second floor, right when it opened, so I was the first one there. The view from the window was great, with the morning sun reflecting off the riverside apartment buildings. The clam chowder was packed with ingredients, and the clams were large and very filling. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. When I went to the restaurant on the second floor to get a welcome drink after checking in, it was hectic, but the staff were working hard, which I appreciated. I'm sure there are many different situations to stay in, but for someone like me whose primary goal is to leisurely enjoy the river by myself, I thought this was the perfect hotel for a relaxing and luxurious stay at the end of the year. I hardly passed anyone in the hallways or elevators, but I guess there are a lot of foreign visitors at this time of year. I'll definitely come back for more relaxation. Thank you.
