Maamadi Boutique

The staff is attentive and caring. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean. The hotel manager is lovely. The only slight drawback is the noise from the bar next door.

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL! DIRTY, OLD ROOMS, THE DOOR DOESN'T CLOSE, THEY'RE TOO SMALL FOR TWO PEOPLE, AND THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE. A 0

A wonderfully relaxing stay, centrally located for excursions. Our stay at Maamadi was truly everything we needed. The communication was excellent. Upon arrival from the boat, we were met and taken to the boutique hotel by cart. We were greeted with a drink and a towel and immediately enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. The manager did ask us to pay the tax right away, but of course, that has to be done. He and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and helped us with everything. Every day felt so wonderfully peaceful. We started the day with a delicious breakfast with a selection of options, and when we were on tour, we received a gift basket. Every day we received new bottles of water in our room (in glass, environmentally friendly) and our room could be cleaned if we wanted. There was also plenty of storage space for our belongings and a small refrigerator. The bed was incredibly comfortable! It's a bit further from the "town center" (8-minute walk), but we really appreciated that. The island itself isn't all that special, but Maafushi offers so many great tours and excursions! Maamadi also booked our speedboat upon departure, and apparently, you can arrange all sorts of other tours through the hotel, but that wasn't immediately clear to us. This is another opportunity for Maamadi to alert guests to this! There was a nasty smell near the stairs for a few days. It might have been coming from the pond that runs through the hotel. It disappeared after a few days. Oh, and there are lots of cats around, which isn't ideal for someone with severe allergies, but luckily, they didn't bother me much.
