Staff friendly, and location okay. Lots of pedestrian noise. No carpark. Hotel and room was dire, stank of cigarettes and damp, extremely outdated, and looked dirty.

Misleading 4-Star Claim – Nowhere Near What’s Advertised This property is advertised on Wotif as a 4-star hotel; however, the reality is completely inconsistent with the photos and description provided online. We feel genuinely misled. From arrival, the condition of the hotel was poor. The front awning was broken, and the reception area was dirty, worn, and fitted with low-quality furniture that looks nothing like the promotional images. First impressions were extremely disappointing. Only one elevator was operating, lined with temporary plastic sheeting. The hallways on our floor were in very poor condition, with badly chipped and scratched paint, damaged wall finishes, stained and dirty carpet, and an unpleasant lingering smell throughout. Our room reflected the same neglect. The walls were damaged, the carpet was worn and low quality, and the room felt tight and cramped. The air conditioning was noisy and leaked/dripped continuously. The bathroom was extremely small, with rusting towel rails, rusted door hinges, and a broken door handle. A warning sign threatening fines if the door was left open (due to fire alarm issues) only highlighted the poor maintenance and overall state of the room. Most concerning, we found what appeared to be drug paraphernalia (a crack pipe) lodged between the seat cushions in the room. This raises serious concerns about the standard of cleaning and housekeeping, as well as the overall environment and clientele the hotel is catering to. This hotel would struggle to justify even a 3-star rating, let alone the 4-star status it claims online. The discrepancy between the advertised photos and the actual condition of the property is significant and misleading. We would not stay again and strongly caution future guests to manage expectations or look elsewhere.
