Maga Hotel

Well, after spending almost a week there, I'm going to give my opinion. I arrived at the room and they asked for my full credit card details… which is already strange. I got to the room and the pillows didn't have cushions, so I went downstairs to ask and of course… they didn't have any. If they didn't, they offered some cushions that were supposedly "clean," so in the end I had to sleep with a towel on my pillow. The tall girl with glasses was definitely the best in my opinion, but I can't say the same for the rest. The cleaning lady started shouting in all the hallways at 10 in the morning, meaning zero rest. Then I spent six days there and they only cleaned my room twice, and the rest of the time they left it uncleaned. They didn't change the sheets or towels once, the beds weren't made because they were poorly made, the bathrooms weren't cleaned, the towels were dirty, they didn't sweep the floor, the cleaning lady was a disgrace. There was no elevator, meaning it's not accessible because the elevator starts from the first floor… anyway. I had to ask the guy for a brush to sweep the room, and he wouldn't give me a dustpan because they don't have any, so I had to throw the mess in the hallway… it was all a huge disgrace, and then he tells you to fill out a complaint form… the fact that even the staff offered one says a lot. Anyway, if it's a short stay like a weekend, it's fine… but if it's longer, choose another place… but I wouldn't recommend it in the summer at all because it doesn't even have air conditioning.

The hotel has a very good location and nice views, close to the pier parking, restaurants, pubs, and the beach. The elevator didn't work during our three-day stay. I see in other reviews that this problem has been ongoing for some time and isn't new. The receptionists and waiters are friendly and helpful. The room, although nice and with a balcony, was a bit small and didn't have air conditioning or a hairdryer. Being close to pubs, there's a lot of noise from music and people passing by and talking. It's not the right place if you're looking to relax. Also, when the bars and the crowds have quieted down, a cleaning truck comes by in the morning, and the cleaning lady is very noisy and disruptive, talking at 8:00 a.m., slamming doors, and rattling keys. She also knocked on our door at 10:45 a.m., asking what time we were leaving, even though the check-out time is 12:00 p.m.

Clean rooms, but very loud. You can hear everything so clearly, including people from other rooms and the hallway, and the thumping music from the night club from midnight until 2am.
