The residence is simple but welcoming. There's no reception, but the owners are always available and very helpful. The location is excellent for visiting Kefalonia, and the proximity to the airport is definitely an added convenience. My favorite Greece ❤️

Nice clean big rooms with cupboards, Nice clean big bathroom, Easy parking on property, The location is right next to the airport runway, you can actually see the planes takeoff and land. You need to keep your windows closed for the noise. One room didn't have air-conditioning.

We stayed 4 days at Maggana Residence during the height of August tourist season. Our stay initially started off not well as we booked the 2BR, 2BTH Masionette, but we were given the 2BR, 1BTH Apartment. This was not what we reserved or wanted. After speaking to the staff, it appeared our unit was double-booked and we were not able to be moved into a masionette. However, we were compensated for their mistake. The property itself is "off the beaten path" in the middle of nowhere, practically. No crowds, no traffic, rurally located. The complex has many flights stairs, so I don't recommend it if you have mobility issues. There is noise from the airport (flights landing and taking off). The small pool was clean. The apartment was clean and spacious. It smelled nice. The beds were big and actually quite comfortable. The A/C was functional and cold. However, there was no A/C unit in our main bedroom with the king sized bed, so it was hot in our room at night. The bathroom is modern and updated. Breakfast is typical Greek food - scrambled eggs, pitas/pies, pastries/breads, coffee, etc. There were a few broken items in our apartment (door hinges, trash can). There was a big stain on the rug (maybe from an old spill?), which was off-putting. Also, there is no laundry service available, even though it states so on their website. It must be noted that there is no staff on the premises, so you must call to check-in (keys were left in the door). If you need anything, you have to call the host and they will get it to you. This was strange to not have staff/host on the premises. All-in-all, the unit was just okay. We've stayed at much nicer places at better prices in Greece.
