Maison Delle Naiadi

We stayed for four nights in a triple room (a double bed and a single bed) here during our trip. The location is convenient: a 2-minute walk to the Repubblica metro station and a 5-minute walk to Termini train station, which made traveling around and out of the city very smooth. There is a McDonald’s nearby and a supermarket two blocks away. We found the neighbourhood quite safe throughout the day, as it is close to a busy avenue full of shops and pedestrians. The hotel itself is actually one of the apartments in an old building. You can reach the hotel floor by elevator, but you still have to haul your luggage up a short flight of stairs before getting to the elevator (as in most buildings of the same age) Prior to our arrival, we had asked the owner in advance if we could store our luggage before check-in; he gladly agreed and even waited for us when we were late. Eventually, we were able to check in early, which was such a relief after 20 hours of travel by plane. The room was adequately equipped. There was a refrigerator, a large wardrobe with a safe, and even a coffee machine with complimentary coffee capsules. We were also delighted to find some welcoming confectionery on the bed. Although the room’s window opens onto an inner courtyard, we found the room a little dark, especially when packing—it would be better if there were more lights in the room. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. On our first night, we noticed that the shower head was leaking and mentioned it to the cleaning lady; it was promptly fixed that day. The toilet seat, however, wiggled a little, so we had to balance ourselves every time we sat on it. Basic amenities, including shower gel, shampoo, soap, and hand and body towels, were provided. There was also a hairdryer in the room. As for the environment, the room was quite quiet and we slept well. The bed linen was clean, and the room was tidied up every day. We visited during the winter and the room was comfortably insulated. As mentioned in other reviews, the front desk was usually not staffed, so you may have to message the owner if you have any requests. We would like to give our compliments to the cleaning lady whom we ran into every morning. She was incredibly friendly, greeted us every time, and always wore a big warm smile, which brightened our days despite the heavy rain during our stay.

Highly recommended. Everything was clean, coffee was available 24 hours a day, and they let us check in 3 hours early. It's very well located, near Termini station, close to the Piazza Repubblica metro station, and with plenty of buses to the main monuments. The quality/price ratio is reasonable.
