This hotel lives off its perfect location at KLCC park. I found the room to be old and worn and small. The AC barely effective and loud. The breakfast was very crowded and only had a few quality items. The pool is crowded as well. This isn’t a 5 Star but a decent 3 Star these days.

I would like to raise a concern regarding the parking staff in charge at Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur. Firstly, the staff clearly needs proper training, especially in understanding how the flat rate system works and what “flat rate” actually means. According to the parking policy, the flat rate period is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. However, the staff informed me that I must enter exactly at 7:00 PM and exit exactly at 7:00 AM in order to qualify for the flat rate. This explanation is unreasonable and does not reflect the actual meaning of a flat rate period. A flat rate should apply as long as the parking duration falls within the stated time frame, not strictly at exact entry and exit times. Furthermore, despite parking during the flat rate period, I was charged RM42 by the system. This raises serious questions about whether the system is functioning correctly or whether the staff lacks proper knowledge to explain the charges. I would appreciate clear clarification on how the flat rate parking is calculated, and I strongly suggest that the parking staff receive better training to avoid confusing and frustrating customers in the future. Thank you.
