I had a great time in a few minutes you go everywhere clean room the hotel staff friendly and helpful thanks advice

The hotel itself is okay, close to the best attractions but this street is not very safe.

From other reviews you can tell the location isn’t great, it wouldn’t be the kind of place for any woman to stay alone. There was more often than not women stood at street corners with men approaching, but the women simply mind their own business and nobody ever approached us, we felt generally safe actually. It’s definitely not the worst place to be once you mind your own business and don’t be out at silly hours alone. However the hotel itself was fine! Spotless reception, it always smelled amazing, with lovely receptionists especially the woman with glasses and dark hair - she was very nice! The rooms were always spotless although it would’ve been nice if there was an option to not have it cleaned daily as I felt like we had to pack up our stuff constantly to allow the cleaners to do their job but look they always had the place spotless, fresh towels daily, made our bed, and even folded my pjs and put them under the pillow! The bed was comfy but the slats always fell out. We got such a fright when I first sat on the bed a plank fell out from under- I thought I’d broke the bed! But when we lifted the mattress to fix it, we saw that only one plank was actually fixed to the bed frame and the others were all slightly too short so they’d fall out at any minor movements - we lost count of how many times it happened. The bathroom is interesting to say the least. All glass, the door sounded like it was about to shatter every time you opened or closed it, and the shower soaked the place no matter how hard you tried. But the water was always hot, great water pressure, their soap was lovely, and all in all it got the job done! It was a bit annoying having the shower head so low on the wall but again it could’ve been way worse. The room had air conditioning, balcony, and a decently sized mini fridge which was a lovely surprise! But with the air conditioning, I think it was if the room next door had it on you could hear this horribly loud noise from the unit outside and it kept me awake a few times. As well as general street noise and thin walls the place wasn’t the quietest but nothing some ear plugs wouldn’t help! All in all we enjoyed our stay here. It’s great if you’re using it simply as a base and spending most of your time out and about which you probably will do. There’s a lovely restaurant about 2 minute walk away (Delicious Souvlaki) as well as a metro station, pharmacy, coffee shops, and lots of shops / kiosks. Although Omonia isn’t the most recommended area to stay, there’s nothing that common sense can’t help. Being in a city centre you’re gonna see different parts of city life, as long as you’re not stupid you’ll be fine staying here! The staff were lovely, the rooms were clean, and it’s very close to whatever you need.
