I stayed here last year and chose to return, but the dealing was extremely disappointing. The staff member assisting me, Aiden, displayed shockingly poor and rude behaviour. He was openly rude, dismissive and made me feel as though providing a room was a favor from him rather than a service. His attitude was completely unprofessional and unacceptable for someone working in hospitality. The accommodation itself was fine, but the customer service, specifically from Aiden was totally not worth a booking. His lack of respect, courtesy and basic customer-service skills left a very negative impression and made me feel unwelcomed and disrespected throughout the process. Given this experience, I would not recommend this property to anyone who cares for their self respect. Unless the management addresses the issue and ensures staff like Aiden are properly trained or replaced, the customer experience will continue to suffer.

We stayed at the Marina Apartments in Queenstown last year and so we reached out again to book for this year. Unfortunately, our experience with Aiden, who managed our previous Airbnb booking, has been absolutely terrible. We have been in contact with him from two weeks. He repeatedly assured us that our booking was confirmed and that he would send the quotation so we could make payment. Over the last three days alone, we called him three times to follow up and each time he said his “admin girl” would send the details shortly. Well, our booking was for yesterday and once we reached New Zealand he has stopped responding entirely. No emails answered, no calls picked up. This behaviour is extremely unprofessional. It’s the worst experience we’ve ever had trying to book accommodation anywhere in New Zealand as mostly people are very friendly and helpful. This was so unreliable & scary, especially when you are travelling internationally. In our opinion, he has shown a complete lack of respect for customers, acting arrogantly and behaving as though he’s doing us a favour by allowing us to stay there. Completely unacceptable. I would not recommend dealing with him at all and their place should know how to treat and respect their customers, especially being in the hospitality/accommodation industry. We were left stranded at the last minute because of his false promises, lack of responsibility and unprofessional behaviour.

Terrible room. terrible service from the start. Were not given a room number as phone check in required 1st on arrival. Prepaid but they wanted credit card 1st and advised they would email through room number. Rang again after waiting 5 minutes and they came out and showed us to room. So why bother telling us to wait for email? Bed was rock hard and had to hang a blanket over window at night as blind was not block out and carpark lights made it extremely light inside. So little sleep it ruined the holiday for me. Given 2 towels for 2 people staying 3 nights (got more after complaining only). No outdoor seating for this room. Overpriced rubbish way out from town, either book cheaper further away or pay a bit more in town.
