MANTRA TOWERS OF CHEVRON

Stayed for 7 nights early November, were a little apprehensive reading a few of the reviews beforehand but we found the Mantra Chevron Towers perfect for our stay. We booked through a travel agent so that may have made a difference. Staff were polite, check-in and check-out a breeze. Our 7pm arrival was delayed due to a crash on the motorway but rang ahead and they put us at ease. Apartment was clean, tidy and well stocked, a little dated and could have done with some renovations here and there but didn't affect our stay. We were in Tower 3 / 6th Floor, 2 Bedroom + 1 Bathroom Apartment overlooking the river, was a little noisy with traffic but my wife doesn't like heights so suited us. Our girls loved the lagoon pool and would've spent all day in their given the chance. Location was great with Coles and a range of restaurants in the mall downstairs, all within 5 mins walk. Parking was great once you knew what to do but the staff explained what/where/how and gave easy to follow instructions. Surfers Beach was a quick 10 mins walk away with plenty to see and do. 30min drive to the theme parks and Harbour Town, easy to get in and out of once you get your bearings. Coffee shop downstairs in the lobby has beautiful coffee, was my first stop every morning. I'd stay here again just for the coffee, guy that runs it is a laugh a minute and his barista needs a pay rise! Would certainly stay here again, potentially maybe pay extra for an ocean view room but the sunsets & evening lightning storms were amazing from our room.

It's convenient to go anywhere, the rooms are spacious, and the facilities are well-equipped, so you'll never get bored. Even if it rains, you can go to the supermarket or a restaurant without getting wet. It also has a kitchen, so it's safe for long-term stays.

Would never stay here again. Room and hotel very dated. All facilities dated and no money has ever been spent on it. If you are in an airbnb, the hotel will not help you in any shape or form. We were only given one key and we locked it in room. Security could of let us in. This one security guy was an absolute bully and loved the control of telling us he did not care. He chested my husband. Absolute horror experience. When I asked for name of security, the hotel reception said they didn't know it. I asked for name of security guard. I was refused his name. Mind you I was here with child and grandchild. Also no one to help between 6pm and 6am. We got stuck on 25th floor, with only one lift working out of 4. We waited 45mins with all lifts full and unable to get in. We had to walk down stairs. In stairs, security y phones broken and pulled of wall. Even broken fold up beds in stair wells. Absolute disgrace. Do your self a favour and do not stay here.
