MANZA ONSEN NISSHINKAN

This high-quality hot spring boasts the highest sulfur content in Japan, located at one of the highest altitudes in the country. The overwhelming comfort and silky smooth skin you experience when you soak in it really demonstrate its high quality. Personally, it's my number one sulfur spring. I loved this place for its reasonable prices and wide selection of baths. This was my first visit in several years, and it seemed a little less affordable (which is understandable given rising prices), and the biggest disappointment was the removal of the Choju-no-Yu open-air bath. While the price is understandable, it's a real shame. The outdoor bath is a bit of a walk of about 100 meters, but it remains as open and spacious as ever. However, I was always worried about bears, so I only went in the evenings and in the mornings during daylight hours. The food has improved since before, and while the overall value for money is now more than adequate, it feels like the impressive value for money has faded. The hot springs are wonderful, and I'd love to visit them regularly, but it's a shame that it takes so long to get there from the Tokyo metropolitan area. (This is why the hot springs tend to attract a relatively small clientele, with only hot spring enthusiasts making an appearance.) At night, I opened the window in my room and gazed up at the starry sky, a sight I was deeply moved by. It was a work of art created by the clean, crisp air of the high altitude.

I stayed at Nisshinkan to enjoy the hot springs. I stayed in a newly renovated room. The room did not have bath facilities, only a toilet and sink. However, there were many other bathing areas, so this was not a problem. The room was very clean, and the hot springs were incredibly refreshing. It was the perfect hotel for enjoying hot springs.

I went there because I wanted to take a bath in the open-air snow bath. It was the perfect snow bath, but unfortunately there was no light. The annual piano appreciation session was great!
