This hotel is so bad that they canceled our reservation (which we booked six months ago) 12 hours before our arrival. It was canceled without a valid reason, and I had to make last-minute arrangements myself. After reading all the bad reviews about this hotel, I'm glad they canceled it themselves!

We stayed at this hotel for one week. The hotel is quite large and generally pleasant. Its biggest advantage is the location – right in the center of the sporty part of Phuket, surrounded by gyms and martial arts clubs. For this reason alone, the place has a lot of potential. Room cleaning is scheduled every two days, which would be fine, but during our stay we had to ask twice for our room to be cleaned, otherwise it seemed to be missed. On the positive side, towels and bed linen were changed regularly. The room is equipped with basic kitchen items such as glasses, plates, bowls and cutlery. However, a very important note for future guests: make sure to count everything carefully when you arrive! On our check-out day, we were charged 100 baht for one missing fork. We did not use the cutlery at all – we had breakfast at the hotel every day and ate all other meals outside. We were never given a list of room equipment, so we had no reason to check it. In our opinion, this situation was unfair. Cleaning staff entered the room every two days and the fork could have been missing from the start. Of course, we could have checked earlier, but without any inventory list we did not expect such a charge. Also, 100 baht for one fork seems hilarious. Breakfast was included in the price, but unfortunately it was very poor. There are only a few tables in the dining area, and after guests leave, tables are often not cleaned. Guests who come later have to clean the table themselves. We personally don’t mind cleaning after ourselves, especially when there is little staff, but this should be clearly communicated. We cleaned our table every day, but not everyone did, and the staff did not seem to care either. To receive breakfast, you must fill out an order form the day before. If you forget, you simply don’t get breakfast the next day. The whole process of eating breakfast was chaotic – you had to stand in the dining area and call out loudly to get someone’s attention to ask for your meal. Many machines were broken: the coffee machine was leaking, the juice dispenser was leaking as well. Towels were placed underneath as a temporary solution. There was often a lack of plates, glasses or cutlery, and each time you had to shout from one room to another to get staff to refill them. Overall, the place felt messy and poorly organized. Despite its size and good location, the hotel feels neglected, almost abandoned. Boxes are placed everywhere and cleanliness is lacking. The management seems very weak. The final situation with the 100 baht charge left a very bad impression and unfortunately summarized our overall experience. This place has great potential, but it is currently wasted due to poor organization and management.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND Marina House MUAYTHAI Ta-iad Phuket! I have been traveling for over 15 years and I have never encountered such a terrible hotel or service. Everything looks great in the photos, but unfortunately the reality is completely different. Let’s start with breakfast. In the photos it looks very appetizing, but in reality it appears as if food from the previous day is being served. Portions are small, there is dirt everywhere, everything is spilled around, and on top of that the coffee machine is constantly breaking down. Another issue is the service. Room cleaning was supposed to take place every two days. In practice, despite hanging the sign requesting cleaning, the room was often not cleaned and we had to go to the staff and ask for it ourselves. Additionally, at the end of our stay we were accused of stealing items from the room. At the beginning of our stay, we were not given any inventory list of the room equipment. When checking out, the receptionist said that a spoon was missing and that we were required to cover the cost of its loss. We did not use this tableware, as we ate out. It is a pity that we were not provided with an inventory list of the room beforehand. When this was reported to the reception, the staff saw no problem with the situation. The hotel staff is very incompetent. Considering all these experiences, if it were possible, I would give a rating of minus five stars. Unfortunately, the only thing I can do is give one star. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel.
