[Bath] The large public bath had both an indoor and outdoor bath, and the view from the outdoor bath was amazing. Perhaps because I was lucky with the timing, I had the bath almost to myself, so I enjoyed it to the fullest. Although I didn't use it, they provided a chanterelle, cleanser, and facial wash, so I didn't need to bring anything (it was the KOSE series). [Meals] I booked two meals, including dinner and breakfast. Dinner was French and delicious. The portions were just right, which I appreciated. Breakfast was Western-style, with a choice of scrambled, omelet, or fried egg. Tea, coffee, salad, and soup were served buffet-style. Breakfast was a bit large, so I had a lighter lunch. [Room] I booked a twin room on the first floor. It was conveniently close to the large public bath. The view from the window made it feel like a bargain. It was difficult to adjust the air conditioning, so it was sometimes too hot and sometimes too cold while sleeping. Since it was a unit bath, there were no outlets inside, and since it was outside the door, the hair dryer cord was a bit long, which was inconvenient. There was a hair dryer in the large bath, so using that wasn't an issue. [Other] The hotel provides a shuttle service to the nearest station (Souunzan Station or Gora Station) for transportation. Because it was far from the station and the meals were Western-style, there were only Japanese people there, which was comfortable. There also seemed to be few families. The children were around 10 years old, so it was quiet and not running around or causing any trouble. They lit a fireplace in the nearby free space during dinner, which left a smell on my clothes. The deodorizing spray in the room solved that problem.

Our stay at hotel marroad was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helped to arrange for the shuttle service back and to gora station. Hotel views were nice and facing the valley and we appreciated the complementary drinks and snacks.
