Felt more budget than a luxury hotel. Sandwiched next to a hesburger and Burger King fast food outlets and located very close to various shopping centres. Reception was quite rude / blunt and didn’t share any information such as breakfast, sauna, facilities or check out. Our room was in the back of beyond 2 elevators and another building to get to the room. Room was quite noisy from street noise and the corridor kids running and screaming you can hear everything and if the next rooms run the tap or shower it’s so loud and very cold. No stocked mini bar or room service. Room was clean to the eye but you got the vibe to still cover up when getting into bed- something about it didn’t give hygiene. Bed comfortable, good tv size but limited choice of channels can connect to YouTube . Ice machines on the floors but you don’t have any ice buckets in the room and when asking at the bar they said no. Fridge in room is not cold. Carpets are quite stained and filthy. First time a hotel I have seen grey towels not white towels used. Gym onsite is quite basic and old but could do the job sweat towels and water provided. Couldn’t access the sauna don’t know if broken or out of order. No investment or small touches or thoughts in this hotel or room even the DND sign is paper torn used. Bed doesn’t have a proper headboard. Lamp in room broken. No complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Hotel facilities not adequate for the amount of people at the hotel, luggage storage was outrageously over stacked with a queue. Reception area quite small and gets overwhelming, nice seating area with bar. Location for other attractions to us : 18’m in tram to ferry port / Loyly spa/ 20’m walk to senate square (Christmas markets) and old market hall. 45’m tram to airport. Helsinki is quite spread out.

Marski by Scandic made a great impression right from the start. The Standard King room was really clean, spacious and comfortable, and the bathtub we requested was waiting for us. We also told them we were celebrating an important day, and the hotel took that into account wonderfully. There was a beautiful surprise waiting in the room, which created a luxurious feel and made the evening special. A big plus that requests were responded to so well! The customer service was friendly and warm, and the whole stay felt really smooth from the start. I would love to come to Marski again.✨️
