They have a outdated reservation system. I reserved it using my credit card and then talked with senior manager. I was assured that my reservation is complete and I don't have to worry about anything. 3 days before arrival, during my Sri Lanka visit, I got a email, stating that I need to pay for my reservation. I said, I paid with my credit card months ago. Via WhatsApp I contacted the senior manager, I was dealing with and she told me the same thing. I said I can't pay because I am in a public place and it is not safe to provide credit card details. Repeatedly, I mentioned that you have my credit card so you can charge the full amount because I already authorized that. Also they tell you lot of things are included but when you actually try to get it it is different. Like, I took a all inclusive package, which included alcohol and they had a list of alcohol included but when I asked about my favorite drink, that was not included but ingredients are. Our cabin was dusty, full of insects roaming around. Air-conditioning is very old and doesn't work properly. They had a ceiling fan in the cabin but the fan doesn't work properly. When we asked whether they can fix the fan, I was told that ceiling fan is for decorative purpose only.

The nature is exceptionally beautiful, even heavenly. The cleanliness in the common areas is ok, but not very good in the cottages, where the staff was not very attentive and kind, and the towels were a bit old and yellowed. The table service is also not particularly present among the customers, there were quite long times until you received something to drink, or until what you ordered was brought. The all-inclusive system is poorly thought out, with traps for tourists, with only a few cocktails included and some poor quality spirits. If we wanted something better, we had to pay extra. The food was ok. The worst thing, however, was the transfer from the airport in Malle to the hotel - about 3 hours by speedboat, in a current, tremors and noise that are hard to describe. Moreover, there are only two boat transfers per day, one at 11:00 and one at 17:00. This wastes a lot of time in Malle and on the road, practically 1 day lost on arrival and one on departure. I recommend the seaplane for the transfer, but the price is 240 USD for 1 person per direction. As for excursions, it is worth doing the one to watch the sharks. The services were not even half the value of the amounts paid. We were not allowed to take drinks ordered at the pool bar to the room, and there were 4 cans of juice in the room per day. It was nice, but for that money we could have had two much nicer vacations. Ask very carefully about the transfer, the connection times and its duration, as well as about the all-inclusive regime - what it includes. Almost all the acquaintances of Xare have been there before, had the same problems.
