Had a lovely long weekend at the beautiful Pez Espada (my favourite in Torremolinos) to celebrate my birthday. Someone had obviously spotted my birthday cards in the room and when we returned from our day out in beautiful Malaga, there was a bottle of cava in an ice bucket and a birthday cake with a lovely message attached waiting for us. This was a lovely gesture by the hotel and completely unexpected. We can't wait to return for a longer visit.

Location is absolutely great, literally across the path to the beach. Plenty of bars/restaurants nearby. Hotel itself grand, lots of history and interesting. Enjoyed the restaurant experience. There are some renovations taking place and the main pool was closed for the duration of our stay but to be honest at the time of year doubtful we'd have spent much time in it regardless. Would definitely return!
