We stayed here to celebrate my child's graduation. We arrived near evening, and when we entered our room and opened the shoji screens, the setting sun let in. Unfortunately, the window had heavy fingerprints from previous guests, which was especially noticeable in the setting sun and made us feel very uncomfortable. They probably wouldn't have noticed if it was the morning cleaning, and the cleaning staff probably never even considered the window being dirty. But it was truly dirty. It was very unpleasant to think that we'd paid such a high price for a room like this. Another disappointment was the weak Wi-Fi. As the name "Inn of Stones" suggests, the corridors and garden were magnificent. We had delicious dinner in our private room. The lava-grilled Koshu beef was especially delicious. The open-air bath was also very pleasant. Our family won't be staying here again, but I think they should think about how they clean the room for future guests.

The perfect solution for stone lovers. The taste and quality of the food is excellent. The portions are large, so you may need to find the courage to leave some food somewhere. Although it seems like a deserted hot spring town, it is actually quite busy with many guests. The open-air bath also makes generous use of huge stones, making it an inn where you can experience something out of the ordinary. The location makes it difficult to revisit, but it is an inn that I would like to experience again sometime.
