Meistay Art Gallery Hotel

The hotel room prices vary greatly because the sizes also differ significantly. The more expensive rooms are truly beautiful, spacious, and have views. The smaller rooms have shared bathrooms with no windows, and the exhaust fan above is covered in dust; hopefully, it can be cleaned. Otherwise, for the price, there's not much to complain about. The soundproofing isn't great, but you can solve the problem by bringing your own earplugs. The location is really convenient 👍. The staff works very hard, often working late into the night. The front desk service is average.

I booked for new years to be close to watch Taipei 101’s fireworks. The location was great with many busses right across the street. The pictures unfortunately do not do justice to the experience. Generally the facility could use a fixer upper. Im aware we stayed in a larger room with half the wall side being judged large window panels, however this really should have been taken into consideration when planning and good ac and especially heating. I caught a cold upon my first night due to the room being freezing cold. The bed itself was comfy but the blankets were not quite fitting [see picture] The blinds could not be completely closed / partially broken resulting in several sun rays streaming through at the crack of dawn not allowing us to sleep in. The furniture was chipped [again not as fancy as depicted on their website] and the ceiling ventilation in the bathroom was falling apart due to loose nails. I only wish for this hotel to repair and replace a few objects as the theme is lovely and general has a lot of potential. The only room that has a view to Taipei 101 is room 101 btw but they seem to unable to take reservations for that specific room unfortunately. The art gallery was unfortunately nonexistent as depicted on their website and little love for their lobby as the corner was just piles of cleaning materials and boxes that would be best stored in a closet. Stains could be found on most sofas and bean bags and a deep clean could do the rugs some good. The cleaning lady was friendly which made our stay better.

The staff were extremely rude! The room was very basic, the bed was a bit hard! The shower room didn't have a door 😅 Travelers considering this should think twice.
