*I only used the baths during my tour of the Takamiya Group's hot springs. There is one indoor bath and two open-air baths. Both were just the right temperature and I was very satisfied. *If you prefer hotter water, you might want to use the lower bath in the public bath. Going between the open-air baths can be difficult in winter when your feet are frozen, so children and the elderly should be careful.

This hotel completely shattered my impression of Japanese hotels, even the older ones, being impeccably clean. I stayed there for several days, and while they emptied the trash and changed towels and yukatas daily, they didn't clean the sinks, the headboards were covered in dust, and the floor was caked with dust, even in the gaps between the bed and the walls. Despite this, it wasn't cheap, averaging around 28,000 yen per person per night. The front desk staff, except for the tall gentleman, were all very friendly and enthusiastic. The room included two meals. Breakfast was a buffet, served punctually from 7:00 to 9:00 AM. Although the menu remained consistent each day, it was refined, delicious, and healthy, offering all the essentials. Dinner was also relatively varied, mostly consisting of hot pot, reflecting a health-conscious concept. The onsen (hot spring) area was fantastic, open 24 hours. The outdoor pool allowed you to enjoy a warm soak on a snowy night. The location is situated on an uphill section between the ski resort and the bus station. Dragging luggage from the bus station, you have to walk uphill for almost 8 minutes. I recommend booking the hotel's shuttle service in advance.

Absolutely love this traditional hotel. Stunning service. World class onsen and a really great deal. We stayed here 4 nights and booked the full pension, including breakfast and dinners. The dinners were sp yummy and well portioned. Our family of 4 had an absolutely beautiful time. The staff were so friendly and attentive to our every requests. Will be back and would highly recommend this place. The location is close to everything, yet tucked away enough to be extremely peaceful and quiet.
