We were greeted with exceptional warmth upon arrival and seamlessly escorted to our Beach Luxury Tent Deluxe. The heart of this resort is undoubtedly its staff. From the moment we arrived, their hospitality was nothing short of extraordinary—attentive without being intrusive, and always ready to assist with a genuine smile. A highlight of the stay was visiting the Pasir Putih Spa, particularly for the Shirodhara Ayurveda Ritual. This treatment, involving a steady, rhythmic flow of warm oil over the "third eye," is a masterclass in sensory relaxation. It is a profound way to ground yourself and truly lean into the "slow travel" philosophy of the resort. The "glamping" experience is expertly executed. Our tent was comfortably sized, featuring clean, high-quality linens and effective air conditioning. The bathroom is separated by a curtain rather than a solid door—a non-issue for long-term couples, but worth noting for those who prefer absolute privacy. While the shower provides consistent hot water, the pressure is modest; guests with thick hair may require a little extra time. We noticed a slight mustiness initially (typical of tented structures), but the staff addressed this immediately by cleaning the AC filters, which resolved the issue. The Beach Club is a standout location for relaxation, complemented by a pristine swimming pool and a commendable dining menu. The overall vibe encourages a complete "unwind," focusing on the natural beauty of the mangrove coast and nearby Menjangan Island. Pro-Tips for Future Travellers: The resort’s remote location means there are few shops within walking distance. I recommend stocking up on snacks and essentials prior to arrival. The on-site desk is very helpful for arranging kayaking and mangrove tours. However, if you are budget-conscious, there are independent operators a short walk away offering competitive rates. For those with scent sensitivities, the linens were notably neutral and free of heavy detergents. Do not forget to pack high-quality insect repellent. This is a masterclass in "slow travel." If you crave the nostalgic charm of Bali combined with the rugged beauty of a National Park, Menjangan Dynasty Resort is an unparalleled choice.

Had a great stay at this perfectly formed small resort. The setting on the bay with the mountain backdrop is outstanding. As were the well appointed and very comfortable glamping tents with v good beds and a lovely terrace (we were in 206) to watch the boats passing by. The infinity pool is terrific - nice to have proper depth to swim in. Finally the treatment rooms - where we had fantastic facials - are partially open to the elements so as you’re being pampered, you can relax to soothing breezes and the sounds of the waves lapping at the shore. We also did a v good snorkelling trip with the resort to the great reefs at Menjangan Island. Can’t recommend highly enough for an away from it all experience.
