The Mercure Hotel is well-maintained and clean. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and very good. Everything is fresh. The rooms are clean and also well-maintained. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is actually good, however, parking is a bit of a problem. That's why it only gets 4 stars. Once you've driven around the block five times trying to find a parking spot, you're not so thrilled about the free parking anymore. But it really depends on the time of day. There are actually plenty of parking spaces. Nevertheless, it's a great hotel, and I'd gladly stay there again. 👍😁💯

Terrible, everything is old, covered in stains and snags. The price is too high for a Soviet-era product, and the photos don't match the description. There's mold in the bathroom.

The Mercure Hotel Berlin City West is a centrally located hotel that definitely has its own unique character – and let's just say: retro down to the last detail. 🏨✨ Location: Situated directly in Charlottenburg in the City West/Siemensstadt district, the hotel is easily accessible. 🚶‍♂️🛍️ Now for the hotel itself: It's really old, and you can tell in every corner. The carpet in the room was more shabby than clean, and the balcony… well, just take a look at the pictures. 😅🪜 The courtyard with its pool, as well as the bathroom, exude genuine retro charm – perhaps a plus for fans of nostalgia, but more of a challenge for others. The pool wasn't lit or heated, so swimming in the icy water is really only for the hardy. ❄️🏊‍♂️ On the plus side: at least they provide free towels. 🧴👍 A little anecdote: From the courtyard, we saw a hotel guest smoking at the window – so the clientele seems to match the overall look. 🚬😅 Despite everything, we had a nice stay, even if we probably won't be back. It was definitely an "experience" that won't be forgotten anytime soon. 😉📸 Conclusion: Mercure Berlin City West scores points with its central location and retro feel, but comfort and modern amenities are rather secondary here. If you're looking for adventure, go for it – everyone else might prefer the competition. 😄✨
