The Mercure is ideally located right on Erfurt's pedestrian zone. It offers good value for money and pleasant, attentive service. The breakfast at the Mercure is also highly recommended.

The hotel has a fantastic location, the rooms are excellent, the breakfast could be better in terms of fresh cold cuts, but that's really nitpicking. The bartender should be trained to understand that the guest is the most important person in the hotel and shouldn't disrupt the flow of service.

I stayed here on business. The room was generally good and clean. However, it seems like hardly any hotel manages to preheat the rooms. Setting the heating to level 2 in sub-zero temperatures is unfortunately not ideal. Getting the room up to a reasonable temperature after 5:00 PM is practically impossible. And the Wi-Fi is unfortunately very poor. The connection kept dropping or there was no internet connection at all, as you can see in the picture. The breakfast was very good and the staff friendly. The hotel's location is unbeatable.
