Superior room with a balcony, but only one power outlet in a dated room that could use a refresh. The television sits on an unsuitable table with exposed wires, giving an impression of neglect. In short, the service is not what you'd expect from a 3-star hotel. The bathroom has no power outlets and only a very basic wall-mounted hairdryer. Only the hotel reception lives up to the Mercure name. Overall, the establishment is disappointing.

It always makes me smile to see that the rooms are air-conditioned, a feature you expect from a 4-star hotel, but the first room I was given, where I had to pay an extra €10 because it was renovated (despite being a Platinum and business traveler), was 24°C, too hot to sleep. The receptionist kindly moved me to another room that had received less sun, but it was 23°C. It was still impossible to change the air conditioning, which, incidentally, is restricted by the hotel. In short, energy efficiency is something they can hide behind all they want, but I think guest comfort should be a priority. I had to sleep with the window open; it was very noisy. I won't be returning to this hotel. On the other hand, the room itself was nice, and the bed was comfortable.
