Meridia Beach Hotel

CHECK-IN (10/10) Check-in was very fast; we were checked in 40 minutes early. Now let's talk about the extras: suitcase packing cost €8, and Wi-Fi was €2/day, but it was very good and worked in the room and on the beach. There's also a luggage storage room, but it's free. HOME (8/10) We had a standard room with a sea view on the 6th floor. The view from the balcony was stunning. There's an ashtray and a table with chairs on the balcony. The room itself has air conditioning, two beds (one double and the other single). There's also a safe, which is free, although you have to pay for one in most Turkish hotels. There's also a mirror. Overall, the room was nice. FOOD (9.5/10) Everyone writes that there are four meals a day. In reality, it seems like there's much more. There's plenty to eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Many reviews mentioned that there wasn't enough meat, but in reality, there was plenty. A little advice: don't count on late breakfast and late-night soup, as there's practically no food there, although you can get a snack. The snack bar is a different story; it's full of fast food and other snacks. Also, don't make the mistake of exploring the entire hotel grounds first, and don't miss out on the pastry shop until your last day, as we did, as they serve ice cream and some cakes and pastries. Breakfast: 7:30-10:00 Late breakfast: 10:00-10:30 Lunch: 12:30-14:00 Dinner: 18:00-21:00 Night snack: 23:00-00:00 WATER TEMPERATURE A little advice for you: If you're coming here for a not-so-warm sea but not too cold (18-23°C water), then come in late April, May, and October. If you're coming here for a very warm sea (over 27°C water), then June, July, and September are ideal. If you're looking for high humidity and high temperatures (30-32°C water), then August is ideal. The pool temperature is fine in summer and September, but it gets cool or cold in the other months. In October and May, daytime temperatures reach 22-30°C and nighttime temperatures of 15-21°C. Summer temperatures remain similar to September, at 25-34°C and nighttime temperatures of 20-28°C. In the remainder of spring and November, daytime temperatures are 15-22°C and nighttime temperatures of 4-14°C. BEACH (8.5/10) The beach is sandy, with a shallow pebbled entrance. There are plenty of sun loungers, but they're also crowded, and between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM, there are practically no sun loungers available. Small waves can occur at night. There are mattresses for sun loungers, a shower, and a changing room on the beach. ENTERTAINMENT (10/10) Let's start with the first activity: beach volleyball, which usually takes place during lunchtime. There are also two restaurants on the hotel grounds, but I won't go into detail because we didn't try them. There are water slides on the hotel grounds: four on the first level (they're also the fastest) and two on the second level; they're slower but longer. There are two outdoor pools (one for children and one for adults) and an indoor pool in the spa building. Let's talk about that, too. They offer a variety of massages and showers, starting at €30. There's also a hammam and a sauna. Don't forget the spa is open until 9:00 PM. Now we're leaving the hotel and let me tell you where to go. The first place is the peninsula, which you can see from the window. If you live on the 4th floor or higher, it's about an hour's walk at a leisurely pace to reach this peninsula. You absolutely must go because the photos there are absolutely stunning. Next, we turn the other way. Head to the island opposite the peninsula. You don't need to swim there because there's a strong current, but you can take photos. It's about a 15-minute walk at a leisurely pace. Then let's move on to the shops. How can you come without souvenirs? The closest shopping center (future shopping center) is Outlet. It's not worth going there because the prices there are incredibly high, even though it's a 15-minute walk. It's better to go to the Alara Grant Bazaar; the prices there are much cheaper and it's easier to bargain. And most importantly, BARGAIN—some people will cut the price in half! The only thing is, you need at least two people to go to both bazaars.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. We went with friends and were supposed to have a hotel room with a beach view, but we ended up with some bungalow at the back of the hotel. It was a disaster! The balcony door didn't close properly, so anyone could walk in and steal something. It was dirty, and even the cleaners couldn't clean the bathroom. Beware of this place! The photos on their website look beautiful, but in person, it's terrible. It's not worth the price, even the staff doesn't care. It's impossible to talk to them. Seriously, be careful!

The hotel is fair enough. The food, the rooms in the main building, the pools are worth the price and there is nothing to complain about. The internet is paid, but the connection is excellent. The bad thing is with the detached cottages, which are sold as connect rooms. Everything there is old, worn out, and untidy. The hotel knows, admits, but does not offer other options.
