27.12.25 - 06.01.26 Location: the location of the Meridian is great. Across the road to a beach entrance. (No Flags) 50mt to Alexander Headlands Surf Club. (Flags) 20mt to Sangs Thai Restaurant. (Very Good) 20mt to Salt & Batter Fish & Chip Shop. (Very Good). 30mt to local bar. (Food not bad) Accommodation: Room 601 Penthouse Appartment. 4 bedrooms. 2 with Ensuite. Reasonable size rooms. Not a lot of hanging space in most of the wardrobes. All bathrooms definitely require quite a bit of TLC. (Very Tired, Shower door don’t close properly and the list goes on.) We stayed here 4 years ago and the main toilet blocked. That same toilet is still blocking 4 years later. Manager promptly came and unblocked it. Washing machine requires replacing as it leaks and doesn’t spin dry properly. Clothes dryer works a treat. Kitchen: All Plates Bowls Mugs and Glasses required to be put through the dishwasher prior to use. Dinner plates and bowls still had food stuck to them. Glasses dirty & Mugs stained. We cleaned mugs with salt to remove the stains and put all glasses mugs etc through the dishwasher prior to use. Fridge: Freezer not clean. Crisper also required cleaning . Cutlery: Several knives forks & spoons had food still stuck to them and required cleaning. Dishwasher:Bottom rack is broken and requires replacement. Dishwasher hard to close door with out fiddling with broken rack. Dishwasher is at an age where it is also requires replacing. Sitting Room: Lounge definitely requires replacing. Was the same lounge as our last stay 4 years and needed to be replaced then. There is not one chair in the sitting room or dining room that is comfortable. Outdoor Area: Table and chairs are is good condition. They have been replaced in the last 4 years. Internet: 🛜 Is good View: Nothing to complain about. It’s fabulous. Road Noise: Even though the appartments are on the main road, the road noise is not to bad. With the sliding doors open the surf breaking definitely drowns out any road noise unless it’s a motorbike. With the sliding doors closed the road noise is minimal. Pool: The pool is heated and very clean. As is the fountain at the main entrance. Entrance: The gardens and entrance to the building and pool area are well maintained. Entrance into the building reception and to lifts is also inviting. Rooftop: Fantastic View that’s where it stops. Totally overrated. Sliding doors has no lock just gets slides close. There is a small bar fridge and a kitchen set up but that’s it. Carparking: Two car parks are offered with the Penthouse. The parks are quite compact. There are 4 visitors car parks available just outside the entrance to the underground car park. Parking is also available on the street outside the building. There are a few parks that are 2 hrs only the rest are all day/night parking Booking: We booked direct online. Communication: Good Managers: Very Pleasant We give this apartment a 6/10 Would we book it again? Maybe for the view and the close proximity to my brother’s apartment.
