Miami Princess Hotel

Airport travelers: read this before booking. My experience at the Miami Princess Hotel was extremely concerning. This property is a confusing hybrid of motel and hotel layouts. Part of the building has motel-style rooms with exterior doors facing the parking lot, while another section has interior hallways and an elevator like a traditional hotel. The two setups are mixed together in a way that makes the property feel chaotic rather than secure. I arrived around 1:00 a.m., and within minutes there was a loud argument between a couple near the lobby, yelling aggressively. I specifically asked the front desk not to place me near the people who were fighting. The clerk repeatedly insisted on giving me what he called the “best room in the back.” After walking all the way there, I discovered the room he assigned me was right next to the same people who were arguing. I immediately turned around and went back to the front desk because I did not feel comfortable staying there. Only after insisting did he give me a different room in the interior hotel section, but by that point the situation had already damaged my trust in how the staff was handling guest safety. The overall atmosphere around the property felt unsettling, with people coming and going around the parking lot late at night and a general sense of instability. Even though the hotel is close to the airport and offers a shuttle, I did not feel safe staying here. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t stop there. The room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. I woke up the next morning with serious neck and back pain, which made the stay even worse. Another important thing travelers should know: if you run into problems here, don’t expect flexibility. Refunds were not offered, even when the situation clearly made the stay uncomfortable. I travel often and rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was bad enough that other travelers deserve to know what to expect. What looked online like a convenient airport hotel ended up being a stressful and unpleasant experience. Travelers looking for a quiet and safe place near the airport should seriously consider other options.

Very grateful to the reception staff for their attention and willingness to help. Excellent service, very attentive staff, everything clean. Good location, variety of restaurants near the hotel and parking for your convenience.
