78 Year Old Harvard Olympic coach DENIED FOR owning a second local home!!No traveler should experience this—especially not a 78-year-old man traveling alone. Despite having a fully PREPAID reservation, he was refused check-in at 12:30 AM because of a so-called “local ban” policy FOR OWNING A SECOND HOME UNDER REPAIR. The staff claimed they don’t rent to anyone local due to “parties or illicit activity,” which is a ridiculous and insulting excuse considering the ONE elderly guest standing in front of them. Jesse also refused to call a manager, and when asked when a manager would be available, she said they “didn’t know.” Only after being pressed did she guess “7 AM” without even checking a schedule. It was painfully obvious they just wanted him out of the lobby. This was unprofessional, dismissive, and completely unacceptable. Turning away a senior citizen with a confirmed, prepaid booking in the middle of the night is beyond irresponsible. Corporate needs to address this immediately, because treating paying guests this way—especially vulnerable travelers—is shameful. This man served his country, is in the hall of fame for ski jumping, and couched future generations of athletes to rally at national events. She could not even pick up the phone to a manager. Shameful.
