This was my first experience with the MIMARU chain, and I was definitely not disappointed. Let’s talk about the location first: there are several MIMARUs in Osaka, but in my opinion, this one is the best situated. You are right IN Den Den Town—so if you’re into 'geek' shopping like I am, this is the place to be. And don't worry about the noise; the soundproofing is excellent! You are also just 5 minutes from Namba Parks and Takashimaya, and a 10-15 minute walk to Dotonbori. It’s perfect for shopping or trying the 'depachika' food experience (Takashimaya B1). Kuromon Market is also just 5 minutes away. Regarding the room: I booked the Two-Bedroom Japanese Apartment, and it was fantastic. There is a tatami area with bunk beds for the kids and a master bedroom with twin beds for the parents. The best part? The master bedroom has its own toilet, meaning 2 WCs in the apartment—unheard of in Japan! The icing on the cake was the in-room washer/dryer. I knew some MIMARU hotels had them, but I didn't expect our specific room to be equipped with one. It was a huge, pleasant surprise—no need to stress about finding a coin laundry. A great touch for the kids: the scavenger hunt to find 20 hidden coins in the apartment. It kept them very busy, though we unfortunately didn't find all 20 during our 3-night stay! Finally, the staff was incredibly caring and friendly. Don't miss the free drinks (including fountain sodas) available from 3 PM to 9 PM. Travel tip: Upon arrival, the team asked if we needed the Takkyubin (luggage delivery) service for our next destination. This was very proactive! It confirmed the new practice in Japan where travelers are now responsible for their own bookings. At MIMARU, payment is made when dropping off the bags after they are measured. They take the time to advise you to avoid the checkout rush and offer a choice: use the standard Kuroneko Yamato service or their own slightly more expensive but highly efficient service. Bravo!

This hotel is great for larger families. It is rare to find hotel rooms that cater to 6 ppl and have 2 separate bedrooms. This hotel is very kid friendly with in room scavenger hunt and hotel escape room find. They also have a board games room with rental of board games to your room. I highly recommend this hotel for large families and for families with small children.

This accommodation is located close to Dotonbori. The staff was always friendly. The lobby and the elevator were separate, which provided excellent security. Drinks were frequently available in the lobby. The interior of the accommodation was also clean and nice. I don't know when that will be, but I've already decided to stay here for my next trip to Osaka. ^^
