Mitsis Rinela Beach

Wanted to book a stay, and I had a question. I Tried to contact the hotel 3 different ways (filled a form on their website, sent a msg on instagram to the hotel account and mitsis account) but they ignored me. After 4 days I gave up and booked another hotel. Too bad, hotel looks great.

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Mitsis and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The entire complex is very modern, stylishly designed, and meticulously planned down to the last detail. The rooms are particularly noteworthy – they are very high-quality, modernly furnished, and immediately convey a luxurious holiday feeling. The service throughout the hotel was outstanding. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and dedicated to making your stay as pleasant as possible. It's clear that hospitality is a top priority here. The hotel also has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine: the food was mostly very good, varied, and of high quality. It's especially important to note that you should definitely reserve the à la carte restaurants before arrival, as they fill up quickly. We particularly enjoyed the Greek restaurant – authentic, delicious, and a real highlight. The steakhouse and the buffet, however, didn't quite live up to our expectations and were somewhat lacking in comparison. It's also a shame that drinks at the pool bars are only served in plastic cups; we've experienced better service at other hotels. One minor criticism concerns the sun loungers: Unfortunately, there weren't always enough available, practically forcing guests to reserve them in advance – a point that somewhat detracts from the otherwise very relaxed overall impression. The situation is similar with the pool area: The private pools, located directly adjacent to some rooms, are reserved exclusively for certain room categories. This isn't apparent on the various websites, from the hotel to the tour operator. As a result, most guests are concentrated around the large main pool. Especially at the private pools, loungers are often unused throughout the day, as there are easily twice as many loungers available per room. This is a real shame, as the resort otherwise has great potential for more space. The hotel's location is unfortunately rather noisy: It's situated directly in the flight path of Heraklion Airport – you can hear loud aircraft engines every 10-15 minutes. The advantage is that the transfer from the airport to the hotel is very short. Aside from the hotel itself, there's hardly anything to discover in the immediate vicinity. So, if you value excursions, promenades, or a lively atmosphere, you should take this into account and book a rental car in advance (which you can also do directly at the hotel). However, it's ideal for a pure resort vacation; we were very relaxed after a week!

The booking process through their own website is so bad that I've completely lost interest in the holiday. A total disaster!
