Tokyo Trip The night before heading back was absolutely devastating. This time I stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hotel Nihonbashi Pumir, Room 1008. The room itself was decent, and close to the subway station. All the staff were friendly and polite. The only downside was the bedside table design. There was a tiny gap along the edge, probably less than 1cm. The bedside table was nailed to the wall, so if something fell into that gap, the chances of retrieving it were extremely slim. Last night, I took off all my rings and put them on the small plate on the bedside table. But I wasn't careful and put them in with a bit too much force. My Coco Crush ring bounced into the gap next to the bedside table. The gap was like an endless city; once it fell in, it was gone forever. I looked inside, but there was nothing there. I searched the surrounding area, but couldn't find it. It was so frustrating. Finally, I contacted the staff for help. They stayed with me until midnight, searching for it… but still nothing. The next morning, before checking out, I even brought along someone who looked like a maintenance worker to figure out how to move the table, but because it was nailed in… Unable to move. Special thanks to the Mitsui staff (Ms. Tian? I've forgotten her name & Ms. Kenkawa) for their kindness and help me search for so long 🫶🏻🥺 I believe others may encounter the same problem as me in the future. I'm posting this so that anyone doing research and looking for a room who sees this and books the same hotel will be aware of this infinite gap after checking in…🥲 Finally, here are some photos of the ring still on. So sad, still processing it 🥹
