We are owners at Holiday Inn Club Vacation Orange Lake in Kissimmee and traded into Vacation Village Mizner Town Center in Weston through RCI. We are staying in a 1 bedroom, partial kitchen. When we checked in the bathroom, specifically the toilet was dirty and there was a half roll of toilet paper from the previous occupant. The bathtub appeared to be dirty. The bedroom carpet had not been vacuumed. The living room furniture was worn and dirty. I'm shocked that RCI has given this resort a gold star rating.

Just love this place! The staff is always amazing and very helpful. Accomodations perfect.. nice people here from all over.. Very friendly. Highly recommend this for a great getaway..

We booked this stay looking for some much-needed R&R in Florida after the cold northern winter, but the experience was frustrating from the start. Check-in was listed as 4:00 PM. We arrived at 4:05 and were told our room was not ready, with no apology, no explanation, and no estimated time. After waiting, I called 2.5 hours later and was again told the room still wasn’t ready. We finally got into the room over three hours late, around 7:15 PM. Had we known check-in wouldn’t be until that late, we could have planned our day very differently. At no point did staff apologize, explain the delay, offer access to amenities (pool, bar, etc.), or make any effort to improve the situation. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. To make matters worse, when we asked for a slightly later checkout to make up for the lost time, it was denied outright. The most concerning issue came on our last day when we realized the door had never been properly locking during our stay. The latch did not line up with the frame—if you leaned on the door, it would open. This was a serious safety issue that should never happen. Between the excessive check-in delay, lack of customer service, refusal to accommodate checkout, and the safety concern, this stay was extremely disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel.
