Mizunosato Marukyu Ryokan

If you are using it for the first time, you are asked to have a standard meal in a regular room, but the room was small and the food wasn't bad, but perhaps because there were only a few people, the food couldn't keep up with the speed of the meal, which left us dissatisfied. The bath was not the best quality for a hot spring, and there was no open-air bath, which was also dissatisfying. If we liked it, we would upgrade next time, but there wasn't a next time.

It was my first time visiting Shuzenji! The menu was well-designed, and I could really feel the landlady's passion! The staff were also very friendly. The samue (work clothes) were designed to keep the chest area closed, which I thought was very well done. It felt new in many ways, and I enjoyed this extraordinary experience. My husband said he wanted something fried, and for dessert they brought out piping hot apple spring rolls. He exclaimed, "Deep-fried!" and was very satisfied. 😊 Thank you very much. ✨

We stayed at this inn to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. From welcoming us to checking out, the staff were extremely attentive. They handed us a receipt in an envelope, offered a welcome drink, and made every effort to ensure a quiet stay for guests. My mother is physically disabled, so I searched online for inns that were barrier-free and designed to make it easy for her to get around, and booked a barrier-free room with an open-air bath at this inn. There was a chair at the entrance to the room, which was very convenient as I could sit on it while taking off and putting on my shoes. However, it was not completely barrier-free, and there were steps at the entrance to the toilet, bathroom, and bedroom. My mother uses a cane to get around, so these steps were a challenge. I didn't do enough research, and I regret not calling the inn beforehand to confirm. There were no handrails in the open-air bath, making it difficult for my mother, who has a disability in her right hand, to bathe alone. I wanted her to take multiple baths in the open-air bath in our room, but she seemed tired and only went in once, which was a bit disappointing. So, this trip made me realize that if she can't walk without a cane, I might have to give up on going to the hot springs with my mother. We ate in a private dining room, but because my mother is physically disabled, getting around was more difficult than I expected, so I asked them to prepare breakfast in our room, even though I knew it would be a challenge. They were very helpful. Thank you. The service was excellent and they were very considerate, and we had an enjoyable meal. For dinner, we moved to a private room and had a Japanese-Western fusion kaiseki course meal, which left me stuffed. We had our own private space, so we were able to eat in a very relaxing atmosphere. There was a private bath, and I used the pool-like bath all by myself, which felt very open and enjoyable.
