The hotel is very old, and the staff are quite young and somewhat inexperienced. Furthermore, after completing the pre-authorization, they still had to copy my credit card number, which was clearly not following standard operating procedures. Both the elevator and the room furniture are severely worn, and some parts of the floor are dilapidated. There's a Terminal 21 dock and a 7-Eleven nearby, which is basically all there is. However, the river views are very beautiful in the mornings and evenings. Staying at this hotel felt like stepping back 50 years.

Pros - Big rooms, good view, peace and quiet. Cons - far away from everything “hap” in Bangkok. Literally couldn’t find a cab to the hotel from The Grand Palace in the evening between 6-7 pm. The hotel is neat, clean with big rooms and good view. Breakfast is okay (have heard other people put similar reviews about breakfast buffet in Bangkok). Hospitality is great with smooth check in and check out process. Pool is on 6th floor along with gym. Good to stay for some “quiet” in brouhaha of Bangkok. However, if you are there for just 3-4 days, try to get room in central areas.
