Motel6 Lakeland, FL

This has got to be one of the worst places I have ever stayed. My son and I were in town for a baseball tournament and reserved this place because it was affordable ($172 a night it cost us) and it was a reasonable distance to the ball fields. The lady in the office seemed like she was just trying to make it through life because she had no personality or customer service. Our first room was filthy and smelled like bleach and cigarettes. The toilet was a child’s toilet and overflowed after 1 use. That would explain the plunger next to the toilet. My son slipped in the shower a little due to the tub being slimy. We also found a wet bathing suit in the bathroom behind the door. We had gotten a different room (the lady at the front counter was not apologetic at all). That room was just as bad l. It did not have the fridge or microwave that we had paid for, the base boards were falling off the wall etc. My son’s coach called us and said they were leaving because when they pulled the covers back on the bad there was wet pee on the sheets. We then checked ours and there was dried food stuck to ours. That was the final straw… we checked out and drove 2 hours home at 11 at night because it was horrible. I requested a refund and the manager and the front office lady was no help and could have cared less. Please save your money and look somewhere else. This place looks like a long term stay and the whole hotel is run down and filthy. The kicker is I may not get a refund because it is up to the franchisee.

Front door was not closing properly looked as of tampered with. Room smelled of cigarettes. Bathroom door wood rotted at bottom. Floor was coming apart and filthy. Pulled back the bed sheets and there was a urine stain and smelled of urine. Front desk person said unable to give a refund. They get 0 stars, not worthy of 1!

We booked this hotel for a week our first room 207 had a leaking toilet told the front desk they did nothing about it then later on they called us on the phonetic tell us there was a leak in our room and they needed to move us to a different room once moved to the new room 144. We ended up leaving after 3 days of being here because the room had roaches even in the fridge I was going to eat something when I took it out of the refrigerator 2 roaches crawled out of the box of food. How disgusting!! Told the front desk about it and they did absolutely nothing they eventually tried to move us again we refused and left they wouldn’t refund any of our stay. We also didn’t get housekeeping in our room for what time we did stay. This place is absolutely disgusting DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
