Motel 6 Merrillville

I’d give this place 0 stars if I could. By far THE WORST Motel 6 we’ve ever stayed in. The bathtub was poorly painted, the shower head didn’t work properly—only a dribble of water would come out. My boyfriend brought this up to the person working up front and we were told the owner would only allow $10 for a refund which is absolutely insulting! He should be ashamed of himself. Additionally, other guests were loud past 9 pm and you could hear everything. I’m not one to care what others do, but if someone is staying the night and they need to be up early, there should be quiet hours enforced. Stay away from here if you can help it.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I just moved to Indiana and was staying here on and off occasionally . My son was sleeping in the room while i finally went to go grab our belongings from my vehicle and woke up to someone in the room . He was scared so he immediately called me and which i rushed back in after trying to speak with her on the phone but she wasn’t being very polite . to try and let the manager know . Sharon the manager was not very understanding. The protocol is to check each room for smoking since all rooms are non smoking . She was by my son’s bed trying to socialize and ask him personal questions ( his age and etc) . I have recorded footage since she did not know i was on the call . I kindly let her know i didn’t want any room service at first due to it maybe being a misunderstanding so i could finish unloading my car . She then snapped on me and tried to say i left my son unattended and i told her i was right outside . She was also looking through all of our belongings after i told my son to flip the camera to make sure she left the room . I then snapped and told her to please exit the room and which she threaten to call the cops on me, since it was her word against mine . When i spoke to Sharon the manager she was very rude and started talking over me and yelling and saying she would also call the cops n that I’m in the wrong . I tried to just let her be aware that i understand the housekeeper KRYSTAL has the right to enter the room to check if it’s no smoking . But not the right to stand in the room trying to ask my son personal questions. Im glade i was right out front but unfortunately they were all very rude and i DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE . Felt very uncomfortable and profiled . I had JUST made the reservation too and immediately demanded a refund since we will not be even staying the full stay at all . Completely ridiculous. The housekeeper even provoked me at the front when she realized the manager was on her side about it all. I feel so violated and so wronged !!! Horrible hotel ! Horrible customer service !!!

DO NOT GO HERE !! I was racially profiled by the manager SHARON !! Had a horrible experience. Went in to inquire kindly about a room and in which she felt the need to make a rude comment about my appearance and if i could afford my stay . I asked to speak to someone above her and she denied giving me corporates number and told me good luck !!!! There was also a lot of staff at the front just watching and laughing in the back , the other day when i stopped by a staff member had a unsupervised toddler girl at the front in her pajamas with no shoes on and in which i later found out was related to the manager on duty !! RED FLAGS EVERY WHERE !! I thought coming back to inquire would be better CLEARLY I WAS WRONG !!! WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER !!! WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN !! Be warned !!
