Dealing with this location was a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! I booked a room here on Expedia for our return trip to Seattle from Anaheim and prepaid for it. After driving with 3 kids all day we finally got into Redding ready to get to bed as the next day we had another 8+hour drive. The clerk said he didn't know why the booking went thru on Expedia as they don't allow 5 people in one room. He wouldn't give me the room I prepaid for and his only advice was to pay for an additional room, oh and not mentioned in the listing, a $100 deposit per room. I said wait, you want me to split my family into separate rooms? Mind you my 3 kids are little, we just spent a week at the Anaheim motel 6 with zero issues. They fit into a double bed just fine. They were COMPLETELY unprofessional and rude to me, anytime I went to speak they would cut me off and talk over me and down to me like I was stupid. I've stayed at a lot of motel 6 locations on vacation and this was the worst experience by far. They told me that it wasn't their problem and I needed to get a refund from Expedia. So we're in Redding at almost midnight at this point in our car, been driving all day, with 3 kids in the car and no motel room that I already paid for, with tweekers walking around everywhere. I was able to get ahold of Expedia and get an instant $25 credit and a full refund for this room. We went almost across the street to Comfort Inn and had zero problems getting a BETTER ROOM for only $20 more. They had a full breakfast bar and didn't have any problems with 5 people in one room. It was so clean and I'll choose them next time for sure! This motel 6 will try to hustle you into extra deposits and purchasing extra rooms, and the nighttime staff are the rudest I've ever dealt with!
