Great hotel for Webster Hall shows! Can't get any better than this. The venue is right across the street and you can see it from your room if you have that side view. Staff was nice, restaurants on site, and rooms were clean and comfortable. The only down side is there is no insulation so you can hear everything outside all night.

I stayed at this hotel in NYC for five nights, and it was a frustrating experience from the very beginning. Check-in set the tone immediately. Despite having fully prepaid online, the front desk charged an additional $35 + tax per night at arrival and bluntly said it was “mandatory.” Apparently it’s buried somewhere in the fine print. Why hide it? Just be transparent and show the real total upfront so guests know what they’re actually paying. When I questioned the charge, it was obvious I wasn’t alone, another couple next to me was in a heated argument with a similarly unwelcoming front desk agent about the exact same issue. That alone says a lot. Speaking of the front desk. The staff was cold, unhelpful, and clearly unhappy to be there. Just negative energy. The lobby was filled with visibly annoyed guests and the overall vibe was tense and unpleasant. The room itself was another disappointment. No fridge. No coffee maker. No basic amenities you’d expect in NYC at this price point. But don’t worry, you can but their $7 bottled water. They do give you a $20 daily credit but it’s a joke. You must use it or it disappears, and remember, you already paid for it as part of that “mandatory” fee. It’s not a perk. It’s forced spending with restrictions. The only real positive is the location which is excellent. And honestly, that’s the only reason this place gets 2 stars instead of 1. The lobby itself looks nice and the hotel clearly has potential, but it’s poorly managed and badly executed. I would absolutely stay in this area again. But never at this hotel. Not recommended.
